    aw sounds pretty!!
    you are very lucky!!
here is something that i think will work
When your bird is sitting on your forearm and bites your hand or arm, correction is easy. Simply drop your arm straight down about six inches. Make sure the movement is fairly rapid. You want to cause your bird to lose his balance enough that he stops biting, but not so much that he falls off your arm and injures himself. Repeat this every time your bird bites you. Eventually, he will associate biting people with feeling like he is about to fall and he should stop.
Also until this problem is cured dont allow your bird to sit on your shoulder, because he could easily bit your ear.

What is normal behavior for a 2 year old?

Question by Biker Chick: What is normal behavior for a 2 year old?
when he plays with other kids. My son is an only child but he plays with his cousins but more often then not i see him play next to them but not really with them. Occasionally I see them all play together with one toy taking turns but not often. Also he watches them and tries to play with toys the same way they do. When we got to the part he plays chase with them and they slide down the slide together. My niece is 4 1/2 and my nephew just turned 6. Wondering if this is normal play for a 2 1/2 year old. He likes to talk to the 6 year old too. They sit in the back seat together and when the six year old says a word or phrase my son will repeat it like a little parrot. How do your 2 year olds play with other kids?

My parrotlet stays in one part of the cage?

Question by Victoria: My parrotlet stays in one part of the cage?
My parrotlet is only in the corner of her cage. She stands on the perch all day admiring herself in the mirror. She only gets off to eat her food. I have also noticed that there is only poop in that one part where she stands. Do i need more perches? I only have 3. I also dont have any toys. Is this a problem? What does it mean since she stays in that corner?

    Best answer:

    Answer by HisWifeTheirMom
I’d guess you need to get him some toys. Toys for parrotlets are really inexpensive. Be careful with mirrors. birds can bond with the bird in the mirror. Our parrotlet tends to like preening toys and things he can chew up a bit. He also LOVES having a fleece “pom pom” in his cage that he can get into on a perch-he uses it as a bed.
Most birds have one area of their cage that is their favorite. I have one place in each of my cages where they poop. Don’t worry so much about that. Birds just need to be entertained and yours really needs some toys to do that with.

    Senegal parrot: Bad habit!?

Question by ?Farrah?: Senegal parrot: Bad habit!?
Well my senegal parrot is being pretty stubborn :D . He has never done this before, he keeps throwing his drinking water (pretending it’s a toy or something) to the bottom of the cage. Like he pulls the bowl with his beak and let’s go and let’s the water drop to the bottom of the cage. It gets the bottom wet and I always have to change his water. I’m thinking of getting him a bottle he can drink out of from pet-smart and get a tub that’s attached to the side of the cage (since he’s used to those things, he doesn’t like to go to the bottom of the cage). But until winter time which is when I have to get it, is there any way I can stop him from this bad habit? Thanks!

use tape to tape it on to the cage so he doesnt throw it

LOL I have an African Grey and her favorite toys are……paper bags I’m not even kidding. I have spent a LOT on toys for her and she doesn’t play with most.

Here are the things she plays with most & I highly reccomend

A bell, my grey loves ringing her bell, she also likes beating it up when she’s mad

she also very much enjoys shreddable toys like this one http://www.mybirdstore.com/MEDIUM_BIRD-FIESTA_TACO.html In the wild greys are foragers, so they really enjoy digging and shredding.

Boxes and paper bags bring her the most joy though!

Good Luck with your new buddy! AG’s are wonderful companions!

what does this cockatiel toy do?

Question by Aaaahh!: what does this cockatiel toy do?
is it just a funny-looking bell?

    http://www.windycityparrot.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/luckybirdbellLB00017.jpg

yeah, my bird sneezes on his bells… a LOT & his feather-dust-stuff (lol) gets all over it……. you can touch it and you hands will be COVERED with nasty, slimy stuff! it has to be cleaned all the time!

    Best answer:

    Answer by ~I <3 Music Boxes~
Yes. The plastic is to protect the actual bell because some birds mess with the ringer part until it comes out! So they encased it to protect it and gave it a handle to pull to make it ring : )

Are pipe cleaners safe for macaw’s?

Question by Tea: Are pipe cleaners safe for macaw’s?
I would like to make some toys out of pipe cleaners for my military macaw. I was just wondering if anyone new if that were same for her. Thanks!

    Answer by S
No…if they break off a piece of wire and swallow it, it can puncture the GI tract, causing infection, contamination, and likely death. Toys for birds are best made from natural, chew-safe materials only.

Does anyone know where I can find the toy ‘tickle tickle wiggle wiggle’? Besides the millennia one on amazon.?

Question by Mikayla M.: Does anyone know where I can find the toy ‘tickle tickle wiggle wiggle’? Besides the millennia one on amazon.?
It moves and makes noise when you squeeze its hand or stomach I don’t remember.. I don’t want to really get the millennia one, and a blue one would be best, but if i can even get any other color of the classic ‘tickle tickle wiggle wiggle’ that’s be great, thanks for comments

    Best answer:

    Answer by batraylover
They have them on E-bay, but not in blue. You can find their listings at:

    http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=tickle+tickle+wiggle+wiggle&_sacat=See-All-Categories

The last blue one on E-bay sold for quite a bit of money.

Other than E-bay, I only know of the Millennia one being available.

My quaker parrot keeps going to the bottom of the cage?

Question by Bill F: My quaker parrot keeps going to the bottom of the cage?
He used to do this as a baby all the time. Now he is doing it again. He goes down there and tears at the newspaper at the bottom. There is a grid several inches from the bottom.

I don’t think he is sick … i know people say birds do that when they are dying but i dont think that is the case. i think its boredom. I put a few new toys in his cage, maybe i should rearrange everything?

    Best answer:

    Answer by Mz. Independent
yes yes do that! re arrange the cage. it’s a great idea to put toys in the cage too. I believe your bird is bored too.

And do you give it at least two hours of free time outside his cage?
